GLENDA LUGAY, CEO

With over 20 years of experience working in the fashion industry, CEO and accessories expert Glenda Lugay has accumulated an innumerable list of A-list celebrities and royalty clients. In addition to styling celebrities, she has also served on the board of advisors for New York's AccessoriesTheShow for several years. Although Glenda may not be new to the fashion scene, her ideas about fashion prove more innovative than any around. A risk-taker, she has often been the career maker for talented designers and new companies.

Brought up on the Caribbean island St. Maarten, Glenda's career in fashion started at age 12, when she began work at a popular, high-end retail store after school. By age 14, she took on management positions, working at stores like Fendi and Gucci. A multilingual woman, she traveled Europe for four years before being recruited to work in high-end boutiques in New York in the early nineties. She then moved to Los Angeles, where she helped open several extremely successful stores from the ground up like Kitson and earned herself a strong clientele of international celebrities. Glenda eventually took her success to another level, and  opened up two of her own jewelry and accessories stores which she single handedly ran for over nine years, one of which is the renown Tres Jolie Jewelry and Accessories store in Beverly Hills. In addition to her impeccable resume, Glenda not only specializes in jewelry, but in all aspects of the fashion industry. From her background in working with children, men and women’s clothing, handbags, and even footwear to managing her own boutiques and always seeking out the newest finds in fashion, Glenda’s inspiration and determination is never ending and what truly makes her unique.

Glenda herself has become an active leader in the fashion community. She serves as the Editorial Director and Accessory Editor for Amour Creole magazine and Accessory Director for Allezom magazine. Possessing long-standing affiliations in the print and media industries and inspired to help others succeed, Glenda decided to launch her own public relations firm to help shine much deserved public spotlight on flourishing designers and industry professionals. Despite her busy schedule, Glenda can often be seen alongside her adorable daughter, who is her utmost pride and joy and inspires Glenda to give back to the community through her work with many local and country-wide charities.

Even though Glenda has acquired a noteworthy list of accomplishments thus far, she continues to be involved in an impressive array of tasks. Some of her plans for 2010 will include, but are not limited to, working on one of her biggest projects yet by organizing a Fashion Week for St. Maarten and creating a Caribbean Fashion Magazine for this occasion which should be expected to hit the stands next year. She will also be launching the Inaugural Caribbean International Pageant for St. Maarten. Glenda’s style is an evocative mix of both a European & Caribbean flavor. She desires to provide the community with something unique by utilizing her international knowledge to compose both shows. Look out for this leading lady of fashion and PR as she plans to continue her legacy as an ever-present influence within the industry.
